Proyecto R\u00edo Sonora, Zip Code 83270, Hermosillo, Sonora.<\/li><li>\u201cGenolife Research\u201d refers to the scientific research conducted by Genolife with the intention of publishing the results in a scientific journal. Genolife Research uses only genetic and self-reported information from users who have provided their informed consent in accordance with the relevant consent form.<\/li><li>\u201cProduct development\u201d means the research conducted to create new products and the new product development activities carried out by Genolife using de-identified user data. These activities may include, among other things, offering new products or services; conducting quality control activities; performing data analyses that may lead to marketing with a third party; and\/or improving our services.<\/li><li>\u201dService\u201d or \u201dServices\u201d refers to Genolife\u2019s products, software, services, and websites (including, but not limited to, text, graphics, images, and other materials and information) that the user accesses from time to time, regardless of whether such use is in connection with an account or not.<\/li><li>\u201cPersonal information\u201d is information that can be used to identify you, either on its own or in combination with other information. Genolife collects and stores the following types of personal information:<ul><li>(a) \u201cRegistration Information\u201d means the information you provide when you register for and\/or purchase our Services (for example, name, email address, mailing address, customer ID, password, and payment information).<\/li><li>(b) \u201cGenetic information\u201d means information about your genotype (for example, the content of A, T, C, and G at specific locations in your genome), generated through the processing of your saliva by Genolife or its contractors or assignees.<\/li><li>(c) \u201cSelf-reported information\u201d means all information about you, including your medical characteristics, other health-related information, personal characteristics, ethnicity, family history, and other information entered into surveys, forms, or profiles when they are stored in your Genolife account. Self-reported information is included in Genolife\u2019s research only if it has been designated for such use on the website and if you have provided your consent in accordance with the applicable consent form.<\/li><li>(d) \u201cUser Content\u201d means any information, data, text, software, music, audio, photographs, graphics, video, messages, or other materials, in addition to genetic information and self-reported information, generated by users of Genolife\u2019s Services and transmitted, either publicly or privately, through Genolife<\/li><li>(e) \u201cWeb Behavior Information\u201d means information about how you use the Genolife website (for example, browser type, domains, page views) collected through log files and cookies<\/li><li>(f) \u201cAggregated genetic and self-reported information\u201d means genetic and self-reported information that has been combined with that of other users and analyzed or evaluated as a whole, such that there is no reasonable way to identify any specific individual.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bc8144a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bc8144a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t2. Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-689edea elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"689edea\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The use of Genolife\u2019s Services (excluding any services provided by Genolife under a separate agreement) is subject to the terms of the legal agreement between you and Genolife set forth in these Terms of Service (hereinafter \u201cTOS\u201d). Except as specified herein, these Terms of Service apply to any use of the Services, including, but not limited to:<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>(a) provide a saliva sample for DNA extraction and processing.<\/li><li>(b) upload a digital version of their genetic information and interact with it via the Genolife mobile app or another electronic means, and\/or<\/li><li>(c) create and use a free Genolife account without providing your saliva sample or genetic information. To use the Services, you must first accept the Terms of Service. You may not use the Services if you do not accept the Terms of Service: You can accept the Terms of Service by<ol><li>(1) click to accept the Terms of Service, which Genolife makes available to you for any Service; or by<\/li><li>(2) or tacitly accept them by using the Services. In this case, you acknowledge and agree that Genolife will consider the Terms of Service accepted as of the moment you begin using the Services.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ul><p>In addition, when using certain Services, Genolife will be subject to the guidelines or rules applicable to those services, which may be published from time to time. All such guidelines or rules are incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. Genolife may also offer other services from time to time that are governed by different terms of service.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-290f34d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"290f34d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t3. Prerequisites:\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1ba92a6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1ba92a6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li>(a) Whether you submit your own saliva sample or a saliva sample from any person for whom you have legal authorization, you may not use the Services and may not accept the terms of service if<ol><li>(1) you have not reached the legal age required to enter into a binding contract with Genolife, or (2) you are prohibited from receiving the Services under the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>(b) In addition to the foregoing terms, if you provide your own Genetic Information, you must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to accept these Terms of Service on your own behalf or on behalf of those whom you are legally authorized to represent.<\/li><li>(c) If your use of the Services involves creating an account with Genolife without submitting a saliva sample or providing genetic information, you must be thirteen (13) years of age or older to use the Services and accept the Terms of Service.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9ea9f65 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9ea9f65\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t4. Description of Services:\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-92e9ae5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"92e9ae5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Services include access to Genolife\u2019s public website, the Genolife mobile app, and personal genotyping services, including the collection and analysis of your saliva sample. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, any new feature that expands or enhances the current Service will be subject to the Terms of Service. You acknowledge and agree that the Services are provided and based on the current state of genetic research technology and the technology used by Genolife at the time of purchase. As research progresses and scientific knowledge and technology evolve, Genolife will continually innovate to provide the best possible experience for its users.<\/p><p>You acknowledge and agree that the form and nature of the Services offered by Genolife may change from time to time without prior notice. As part of this ongoing innovation, you acknowledge and agree that Genolife may suspend (permanently or temporarily) certain Services (or any features within the Services) for you or for users in general, at Genolife\u2019s sole discretion and without prior notice. You may stop using the Services at any time. You do not need to specifically notify Genolife when you stop using the Services unless you are requesting the closure of your account. Genolife assumes no liability for the use of the Services outside the terms of these Terms of Service or other applicable terms. To use the Services, you must have Internet access\u2014either directly or through devices that access web-based content and mobile applications\u2014and pay any service fees associated with such access. You are solely responsible for paying such bills. In addition, you must provide all equipment necessary to establish such an Internet connection, including a computer, a modem, or other access device. You are solely responsible for providing such equipment. You acknowledge and agree that, although Genolife may not have set a maximum limit on the number of transmissions you may send or receive through the Services, such maximum limits may be set by Genolife at any time.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-118e5fd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"118e5fd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t5. Risks and Considerations Regarding Genolife's Services:\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1df6c8f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1df6c8f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Once you receive your genetic information, that knowledge is irrevocable. You should not assume that any information we may provide you will be positive. You should also understand that as research progresses, you may need to seek additional services from Genolife, your doctor, a genetic counselor, or another healthcare provider in order to evaluate the significance of your DNA in the context of those advances. We encourage you to speak with a genetic counselor or a healthcare professional with special training in genetic conditions before collecting the sample for testing, in order to obtain more information so that you can make an informed decision about whether the tests are right for you.<\/p><p>A genetic counselor can also help you understand your results and options. Some people feel a little anxious when receiving genetic health test results. This is normal. If you feel very anxious, you should talk to your doctor or a genetic counselor before having your sample collected for the test. You may learn things about yourself that you didn\u2019t expect. This information can evoke strong emotions and may even alter your life and worldview. You may discover things about yourself that concern you and that you may not be able to control or change (for example, your father is not genetically your father, surprising information related to your ancestry, or that someone with your genotype may have a higher risk of developing a specific condition or disease). These results could have social, legal, or financial implications. You should not change your health-related behavior based solely on information from Genolife. Be sure to discuss your genetic information with a doctor or other healthcare professional before taking any action based on genetic information provided by Genolife\u2019s services. For the most common diseases, the genes we know of account for only a small fraction of the risk. There may be unknown genes, environmental factors, or lifestyle factors that are much more significant predictors. If your data indicate that you do not have a high genetic risk for a particular disease or condition, you should not assume that you are protected.<\/p><p>Conversely, if your results indicate that you have a high genetic risk for a particular disease or condition, this does not mean that you will definitely develop that disease or condition. In any case, if you have concerns or questions about what you learn through Genolife, you should contact your doctor or another healthcare professional. Please note that genetic risk assessment does not apply to carrier screening test results. Genetic research is not exhaustive. Although we analyze hundreds of thousands of data points from your DNA, only a small percentage of them are related to human traits or health conditions. The scientific community is learning more about genetics, and an important mission of Genolife is to conduct and contribute to this research. Furthermore, many ethnic groups are not included in genetic studies. Because the interpretations provided by our service are based on these published studies, some interpretations may not apply to you. Future scientific research may change the interpretation of your DNA.<\/p><p>In the future, the scientific community may be able to present research that is currently incomplete or inaccurate, and the genetic information you share with third parties could be used against your interests. You should be careful about sharing your genetic information with third parties. Currently, very few companies or insurance providers request genetic information, but this could change in the future. You may want to consult an attorney to understand the scope of legal protection for your genetic information before sharing it with any third party. furthermore, the genetic information you choose to share with your doctor or another healthcare professional may become part of your medical record and, through that channel, may be accessible to other healthcare professionals and\/or insurance companies in the future. Genetic information you share with family, friends, or employees could be used against your interests. Even if you share genetic information that has no significance or only limited significance, that information could become significant in the future as new discoveries are made. If an insurance company asks you whether you have obtained genetic information about your health and you fail to disclose it, this could be considered fraud. Genolife\u2019s services are for research, informational, and educational purposes only. We do not provide medical advice. The genetic information provided by Genolife is for research, informational, and educational purposes only.<\/p><p>This means two things. First, many of the genetic findings we develop have not been clinically validated, and the technology we use is the same technology used by the scientific and genetic community, which to date has not been used for clinical trials. Second, to expand and accelerate our understanding of\u2014and the practical application of\u2014genetic testing in healthcare, we invite all users to participate in Genolife\u2019s research.<\/p><p>Participation in this research is voluntary and based on a consent form. If you have consented to the use of your Genetic Information and Self-Reported Information in Genolife\u2019s research, as described in the applicable consent form, we may include your information in the Genetic Information and Self-Reported Information that we disclose to third parties for the purpose of publication in a scientific journal. Genolife may also disclose your Aggregated Genetic and Self-Reported Information to commercial and nonprofit research partners who will not publish that information in a scientific journal. Genolife\u2019s research may be sponsored by, conducted on behalf of, or in collaboration with third parties, such as nonprofit foundations, academic institutions, or pharmaceutical companies.<\/p><p>Genolife\u2019s research may study a specific population group, identify potential areas and targets for therapeutic development, conduct or support the development of drugs, diagnostics, or devices, predict or treat medical conditions or other health issues, work with the public, and\/or nonprofit organizations, or create, commercialize, and apply this new knowledge to improve healthcare. Genolife will never disclose your genetic information and\/or self-reported information to any for-profit third party without first requesting and receiving your explicit consent to do so, unless required by law. Furthermore, you acknowledge and agree that Genolife is free to retain and disclose any personal information to the authorities if required by law or if it believes in good faith that such retention or disclosure is reasonably necessary to:<\/p><ul><li>(a) to comply with legal processes (such as court proceedings, court orders, or government investigations) or to fulfill obligations that Genolife may have under rules, laws, and other professional ethical regulations;<\/li><li>(b) enforce Genolife's CDS;<\/li><li>(c) respond to complaints regarding any content that infringes the rights of third parties; or<\/li><li>(d) to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Genolife, its employees, its users, its customers, and the public.
